today in class we talked about the chinese jobs. Also the united states outsourcing jobs to china. THen we started to get into groups to do a presentation. I had to defend the position of keeping things in the united states. it is the more difficult role but i am sticking with it.

   Today in class we continued watching the movie. it is starting to shock me how much we are in relations with china. They have more to do with our country then most people know. If you look at your cothes you probably have something that was made in china. It is also a bad thing because jobs are being outsourced to china so american workers are losing there jobs. it is a win lose situation for the united states. For china it is a win win situation because they fill jobs and make money.

today in class we talked about china and the america and there relations. most people hate theat we are giving jobs away to china but they love the the low prices we get from it. I really think that the american person doesnt know what they want. They want the low prices but dont want to give anything up to get them. Thats all we do as Americans is want want want. they never want to give it never makes sense to me. I do think that it is bad that americans are losing there jobs but i also see that it is an exelent buissness choice by the companies.

          Today in class we watch the same video from last class we are trying to finish it but we have not gotten that far yet. It is about how china has no labor laws and many of the people that live there are poor. American jobs are being lost because Chinese people will work for a lot less money so they are making these products in china. Also it showed that living conditions and standards are way less then what they are in the united states. They work for three to four dollars a day that is crazy you could not even come close to making a living for yourself in the united states on that kind of country.

Today in class we talked about the test we took i did ok i think i got a c on it . i got about two thing wrong for each part of the test. Then we got into talking about Gerry sanduski because he was coming to speak at our school. He is the sports caster for the baltimore ravens. He gets hassled a lot because of his name. He is going to talk to us about how he had to work through it. Also what he did to succeed as he went through life. THen we started to watch a movie about how america and the us are related. Today in class we talked about a test that we took i did ok on it i got a b. I can never seem to get an a on it. I got a 100 percent on the front of it. then the back i got 4 wrong. it was challanging to remember all the facts about every body. then we started to talk about the research assignment that we have to do but he didnt give us details. Thats all we did for the day.

Today in class we got are tests back which im never able to get an a on i always get a b on it. then we started to go over the test. It was funny to see all the people try to read the names because they are hard to pronounce. But all got all the answers on the front of the paper right. Which i didnt do so great on the last time we had that. then i did ok on the back i think i got 4 wrong on the back but im not sure. that is just about all we did in class today. Also Mr schick gave some intel on a research project we might be doing in the future.

so today in class we went over stuff that will be on the test. I think i will do well on the test most of the things we asked about i knew the answer to. Today in class we were talking about the paragraphs we wrote about the different religions. I didnt really learn much because i had done the same thing as everybody else. I still listened in because there were small little things that i could take notes on. That i didnt have on mine. I also learned how to put fish on my blog which is pretty cool i need to get my page views up only got 200.

       Christianity was founded in Palestine around 30 AD.Christianity is monotheistic. Christianity does have its own book it is called the bible. Christianity has 2,100,000,000 followers.          Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia in the year 590. Islam is a big monotheistic religion. The book that is used for Islam is called the the Qu'ran. Islam has 2,000,000,000 followers. prophets in Islam are thew main figures of the Islamic culture. Islam’s is Middle East.

today in class we finished the last viking power point. I think my group had the best one. then we were talking about culture and the differences in the people we did. Then we got into a power point that Mr, Schick made for us. It was about culture and what things made up culture. One was language and the world is very diverse in the languages they use.

Today in class we watched power points about the Native Americans, Columbus, and the vikings I learned that the Native Americans were originally from Europe and Asia The crossed a landmass that Connected modern day Russia and America. I Also learned that the native americans were the next to arrive. They only Stayed for about 350 years though. They did not feel that the land had any use to them So they left.

So i do think that excellence in good. The first thing i wont to do is get on all my teachers good sides. This will help me when i am in need of assistance. Then a goal is to do all my work from now on. The next thing is this year if i need help i will always ask questions if i dont understand what i am doing. Another thing that i am going to do is study for all my tests that i have to take to ensure that i get a good grade on the test to keep my grade up. last but not least i will check my grades frequently so i know that i am not slipping with my grades. As you can see my main focus is keeping my grades up so my stuff is all based on that main topic.

I think that elbert hubbard and Socretes would not believe that this was real. In there life they didnt have half the technology that we have today. I think they might feel dumb because now they can just e mail garcia the letter. Socretes might be amazed that his beliefs spread to many people across the earth.i think tht he would be happy that this could not have happened without him. I still strongly believe that they would not be able to adapt to the life that we live now. It is just that much different from the life that they lived back then.

I think arete means to reach your full potential as a person. I believe that Socretes and the greeks took this in to consideration in everything they did. Socretes did not let the government keep him down. He talked about what he felt and did not care what happened to him. "He lived his life to the fullest " as you could say. The greeks were known for there fearless additude twords war and academics. They had to much pride to go down without a fight. This is what sadly brought Socretes to his death. He was sentenced to death by preaching is mind. That is how i believe Socretes and the greeks embraced arete.

Today in class we talked about things that we can do to help the lost boys. There are many organizations that help the lost boys. some examples are they help them to get food, so they have toys and things to do in camps like kakuma. They also do things like help them get new lives in america. Such as the program that the men in the movie took. also all the people that are messing with our site need to stop.

Today the class started with mr schick being very late nobody knew what to do. So we  called the office that didnt really help. Then some wierd guy walked in. He asked for austins name then left. He scared me and it was awkward because everybody got quiet. Finaly mr schick got there. He was so proud to see that his class was not going crazy without adult supervision. So then he was unprepared for class and didnt have the video. So he had to leave again. Then he came back and started the video.
The men from sudan had lived in america for a while now and have jobs. They have to wake up at 5 to go to work and it doesnt start till 7 so they sleep outside till it opens. Panther works three jobs which i dont get because he doesnt speak well english so you dont think he would get a job but he does. They really just want to help there country. That is exactly why they want the money.

Today in class we watched a video. It was about a bunch of people from Africa. They were in a Refuge that was not the greatest place to live. They were called the lost boys. They are making way to America and Seeing a lot of things for the first time. For example when they got on a plane there was a light and they had no idea what it was. When the were eating they would do things like eat the mayonnaise rate out of the packet. It was funny to see them try to Adjust to the world because they didn't know What to do, they got in on an escalator and Started to fall and got kind of scared. Then we talked about the movie and now these people live and we Complain because the Showed isn't hot enough. They Said the would So happy if they could get a job. Also the miss all the people that Stayed in kenya So that the Could make the journey to america.

today in Class there was a Shadow. We talked about the test and what they got right or wrong. I got an 82 So I didn't get a bell but that is OK. I tried hard on it. I only got 6 wrong and I relizewhat the answer is to the problems were.it was d general easy test with a few hard questions in there. Them we watch God gives up hope. I think that is what it is called I forget. I got notes on that I think It is sad that those kids went all that way with no food or water and many of them died. I am glad that they are safe now and live in freedom.

So from what I Can remember my first visit to john Carroll was pretty Scary I didn't know really anybody So I Sat alone most of the day. The teachers were nice So that Was a bright side. I felt Like I belonged. It Seemed like it would be difficult but I figured I could Stick through it So far I have but I Still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

Today in human geo class we started off by makeing sure that everybody has made a blog. Which luckly because im awsome i had done yesterday i did not need to do. Then we got into talking about the debate team because of mr schick raptor shirt. after a while of that we got into how long our blogs should be and that led to talking about collage because you want to go above and beond the expectations, with how much you should write. Then we got into the reading and after a couple paragraphs of mr schicks wonderful reading we started to talk about a message to grace. Also how the author of the story was describeing society back then and compareing them to Rowan because Rowan was the perfect man. That is why he was picked to deliver the message to gracie. The funny part was even though Rowen had no idea who Gracie was or where he was at he didnt ask guestions. He took the order with pride and went on his way. The author of this story did not understand why all people couldn't be this way. Then I got the first donut because im cool like that and answered a question beutifuly. We talked about the setting of this story specifacly the time it took place which was 1898 and 1899. Then i left and went to gym.
